Convert JSON to CSV

Turn JSON arrays into spreadsheet-ready CSV right in your browser. Choose comma, semicolon or tab output — proper quoting, nothing uploaded.

Paste a JSON array of objects and get CSV you can open straight in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. The header row is built from the keys of the first object, then extended in encounter order if later objects carry extra keys — no key is silently dropped.

Arrays of arrays work too: each inner array becomes one CSV row with no header. Emission follows RFC 4180 — fields containing the delimiter, quotes or line breaks get wrapped in quotes and internal quotes are doubled — so the result round-trips through the CSV to JSON converter byte for byte.

Mixed input (some rows objects, some arrays, or bare scalars) is rejected with a clear message rather than producing a mangled table. Everything is parsed and emitted locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Which JSON shapes can be converted?
An array whose items are all objects (header is built from their keys) or all arrays (each becomes a raw row). Anything else — a single object, mixed rows, nested arrays of objects — gets a clear error instead of a wrong table.
What about keys that only appear on some rows?
The header grows in encounter order, and rows missing a key get an empty cell. Order of the first object's keys is preserved exactly.
Can I export with semicolons for Excel in Europe?
Yes — pick the semicolon delimiter and the output matches what German, French, Spanish and other locale Excel versions expect.
